December 2024

DECEMBER 2024 JOURNAL ENTRY

A Year in Review

It is with great pride that we share The Station Foundation’s (TSF) successes of 2024. This Journal entry captures the work that led to delivering an amazing year filled with hope, growth, and healing.

It is because of supporters like you that The Station’s mission is a success and our ability to help Special Operations Force (SOF) endures over the years.

–The Station Team

BASE CAMP JIMMY

The Station’s experience facilitating an extensive range of holistic modalities distinguishes our work in the space of healing through hope. With thousands of touch points and knowledge in this space, we continue to move towards a mastery of this service, further refining and improving an already powerful process. Below are some highlights from our 2024 programs at Base Camp Jimmy (BCJ), The Station’s Montana headquarters.

Please view TSF’s 2024 Impact Report to learn more about our Montana programs.

IMPACT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Offered 9 unique experiences supporting all demographics within SOF
  • Hosted 14 programs throughout the past 12 months
  • Impacted 166 participants

TESTIMONY

“My entire experience with The Station has been nothing short of  amazing. I was given some incredible tools that I use on a daily basis to help me respond more appropriately to the stressors of life. I also made some great friendships and connections with the other ladies, all while reconnecting with myself. I cannot thank all of you enough for this opportunity.”

INTERWOVEN

The Station Foundation’s Interwoven Outreach Project (Interwoven), helps reach the SOF Community in their hometown. Through virtual and in-person experiences, Interwoven blends The Station’s culture and curriculum into participants’ local communities. Below are some highlights from our 2024 Interwoven experiences

Please view TSF’s 2024 Impact Report to learn more about our Interwoven experiences.

VIRTUAL COURSES:
4 – 6 week immersions into topics ranging from enhancing family connectedness, increasing self awareness, and managing stress

INTERWOVEN outSTATIONS:
Satellite locations offering in-person events carefully curated around the topics of virtues and mindfulness

IMPACT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Hosted 2 virtual courses
  • Impacted 28 participants through our Emotion Coaching virtual course
  • Hosted 169 outStation events
  • Offered 2,150 outStation engagements

TESTIMONY

“I have been to meetups of retired service members, and they are good. However, a room full of SOF Service Members ready to physically shape wood and use hand tools to turn raw materials into a useful object…. well that is just a different environment altogether. The amount of stress relief and proper conversation that happened in that environment versus meeting at the grill are not at all comparable. I am very thankful for these meetups and activities that keep us together. They build resilience and remind us of what we are and where we came from. It keeps us grounded and the new mission in focus.”

– SOF Service Member, Presence In The Woodshop (outStation event)
