OCTOBER 2025 JOURNAL ENTRY

The Space We Share

When people ask what it means to partner, we could give them metrics or mission statements. But the truth is more simple than that. Partnership means we stand in the gap together. We build something sacred by taking a broken support system and moving towards wholeness with the programs and initiatives we offer to help those struggling on their journey. This year, we stood alongside extraordinary partners; nonprofits, families, and supporters. Each shared their own piece, weaving it into the fabric of the whole.

By joining hands, we expanded our reach and combined our strengths to create truly extraordinary experiences. We had the privilege of collaborating with Toby’s Dream Foundation, where a SOF family’s son, diagnosed with cancer, was able to live his dream and cast his fishing line beside his hero. A new organization joined us to support college graduate Gold Star Sons and Daughters, giving them a space to share their stories and find strength after loss. In addition, Gold Star Spouses gathered at Base Camp Jimmy during their bi-annual program with Special Ops Survivors to remember and share with one another.

Fall leaves on a rock

One truth that came to light during this season of partnership is that when we unite around what matters most, the impossible eases. What once felt heavy becomes lighter because we carry it together rather than bearing the weight alone.

This work was never meant to be carried alone. It asks for many hands, many voices, and many hearts. So let’s keep saying yes to collaboration, to humility, and to the kind of impact that only community can create.

Wherever you are, in your own life, work, or quiet corner of the world, ask yourself: who can I stand beside, and what can we lift together that none of us can carry alone?

Let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep building a world rooted in trust, shared care, and the courage to believe we are not meant to do this alone.
