In a remote location outside of Bozeman, Montana, members of the Special Operations Community participate in a nine-day Hero Journey, exploring the Way of the Warrior, and its significance beyond the battlefield.

Over the course of the program, participants disconnect from the distractions of everyday life and move into the stillness of sacred space. With strength and courage, participants drop into powerful rites of passage, each serving to heal, grow, and reconnect our modern-day Warriors with their ancestral roots.

In community, participants embark into the backcountry of Montana for deep reflection into the values and ethos of their true self. Participants are introduced to a collection of processes and conversations designed to preserve the essence of the Warrior and expand our understanding of its totality. As a tribe we share and consider how commitment to live with honor and serve others extends beyond war and deep into our families and communities.

While each walks their own path, all who attend  work together, leveraging the power of trust, accountability, and integrity demanded in the SOF Tribe. Most importantly, participants complete their journey through a homecoming ceremony steeped in sacred tradition and ceremony.

Return recognizes the timeless importance of the journey home from War and, through its processes and approach, serves as path Home for our Nation’s Quiet Professionals.
