JOURNEY OF SELF CARE (JoSC)
Off-site program for participants close to Huddleston, VA.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation.

Immersed in the captivating beauty of Mariners Landing Resort and Country Club, participants enjoy a guided exploration into a variety of evidence-based practices to nourish the mind, body, and spirit.

This week-long experience places special emphasis on education surrounding the importance of integrating intentional self-care practices into our lives. Discussions provide participants a greater breadth and depth of options to practice at home.

Participants float through beautiful opportunities, exploring who they are through powerful processes that resonate deeply. In both individual and collective settings, participants leverage curiosity, creativity, and compassion to further discover what supports them best.

With support from facilitators and peers, participants walk away with a solid foundation to move forward with health and vitality.

This location is within driving distance from Camp Lejeune, Fort Liberty, and Virginia Beach. Participants are required to find their own transportation.

Music & movement
Discussions on stress and restorative resources
Clean eating & sleep hygiene
The art of integration

Requirements

Applicants must be a Spouse from Special Operations Forces (SOF) – active duty service, retired, or in the process of separating.

This location is within driving distance from Camp Lejeune, Fort Liberty, and Virginia Beach. Participants are required to find their own transportation to the resort.

You do not need to be an artist, nor do you need a “perfect practice” of self-care. This experience is for everyone. Participants all have one thing in common – SOF Spouses with the desire to explore the creative process to heal and grow.
