For members of the Special Operations Forces community (SOF), coming home is not a single moment. The pace, purpose, and intensity that define life in uniform do not simply disappear when service ends.
There are moments when the most meaningful healing does not come from doing more, but from allowing ourselves to pause.
The whispers of winter invite a different kind of listening. The days have become quieter, the pace has slowed, and beneath the surface, something restorative begins to take shape. This season asks us not to push forward, but to soften, to turn inward, to notice, and to make space for what needs healing and regrowth.
The Station Foundation announced today that they will be receiving a significant donation from GORUCK as part of the company’s “1% For Those Who Serve” initiative.
It is with great pride that we share The Station Foundation’s successes of 2025. This update captures the work that led to delivering another year filled with connection and impact.
This season invites us to pause and lean into two practices that ground our work: gratitude and generosity. These practices remind us that healing begins with appreciation for what is present and flows outward through acts of giving and care.
Our 10th summer here at Base Camp Jimmy unfolded in ways that brought meaningful growth and genuine reconnection. We are proud to share that through our work together, we continue to walk alongside Special Operations Forces (SOF) families and Gold Star Sons and Daughters on their journey towards healing.
